I will dominate 'credible fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair met personally to publicize next month's boxing match.

Ex twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the novice is still one of boxing's largest financial successes, consistently making substantial paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly happening.
